Canyon

The annual Christmas Tour of Homes has been the main fundraiser of the Ransom Canyon Memorial Chapel since before it was built!  Held on the 2nd Thursday of December, visitors are able to tour through four festively decorated homes as well as enjoy homemade cookies, cider, and music at the Chapel.

From the Mountains to a Canyon

Alan and Diane Medina moved to the Canyon in 2017 after living in the mountains of Southern California.  The views of both Ransom Canyon and Buffalo Lakes were originally what attracted them to this stately house.  The Medinas' enjoy decorating for the holidays, with Alan responsible for the exterior and Diane the interior.  The formal living and dining rooms are decorated primarily in silver and gold, while the rest of the house is more colorful and whimsical.  Diane loves collecting Christmas trees so you will see many throughout the house.  Every nook and cranny has been touched by the Christmas Spirit; you don't want to miss it!

Old World Cottage in Ransom Canyon

Let heaven and nature sing...Welcome to the Charm of an Old World Cottage in the beautiful setting of Ransom Canyon.  You will love the charm of this home with its custom exterior and interior.  The Simmons family welcomes you to visit their home filled with Christmas spirit and jolly decorations.  The lake community gives you the feeling of being on vacation every day and feels like nothing else in the Lubbock area!

May the peace of the Lord come to you and your family's home this Christmas!

A Canyon View Home

Come experience the warmth of the Christmas in this classic Texas Tuscan home nestled in the canyon, where deer graze and buffalo once roamed.  This unique home brings the outside indoors.  The beauty and expanse of the canyon can be viewed from many windows.  The home's interior is simple, but elegant.  Alex and Donna Weaver welcome you to come visit them during the Christmas Tour of Homes this year!

A Christmas Retreat

The Driscoll's welcome you into their home!  Rick and Susie purchased this property during the Christmas season of 2013.  The immediate appeal of this home was it's open views to both the lake and the canyon walls.  Upon moving in, the couple began remodeling from top to bottom, doing all the work themselves.  This unique house is full of many small rooms that Susie has decorated to give one a sense of stepping into a peaceful retreat.  The yard is possibly the biggest challenge of the property.  Rick began the arduous task of turning his "piece of the canyon wall"  into an area that family and friends will enjoy for years to come.   This project may take a while, but Rick is determined to turn this diamond in the rough into a place of beauty!  We pray that your Christmas be filled with the joy of the Savior's birth.

    The Ransom Canyon Memorial Chapel

Welcome to the Memorial Chapel for hot apple cider, homemade cookies and Christmas music by the Gospel Brass.  Meet with friends & family to celebrate the joyous Christmas season!

See the Life of Christ Memorial Hillside, the new Jesus-praying in the garden statue and the miracles of Jesus on the pathway up to the Chapel!
